a/c

Post by: Chris on November 4th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Well as of today, summer is over! It is very dark outside, rainy and we are supposed to get snow this evening. I will miss summer, but I do like Winter very much.
Some areas around the world, and the US, still have summertime weather though. And I am sure they are still using their A/C in their cars. Now might just be the right time for them to get that Toyota AC Compressor fixed up and ready to go in case they have really hot weather. I think Hawaii is still warm, oh and Phoenix is pretty nice this time of the year too. Anyways! its always good to get a jump on things, so go visit DiscountACParts.com and get your auto ac parts ready for the heat cuz the heat will come back sooner than we image :)

Jiggles

Post by: Chris on November 3rd, 2008 | File Under Weight Watching

I am still happy today. I really wonder what the heck is going on with me tho, and why I am so happy!
I get on the scale this morning and I gained 4 pounds this past week. It IS rather funny ya know. I knew what I was doing, but I just didnt seem to care much. I now understand the saying (terrible that it may be) that overweight people are happy. I ate what I wanted and am happy! This is so contradicting to what I normally feel; I eat, I get depressed cuz I ate. Now, however, I eat and I get happy! Gosh - old age must really be getting to me, heeheehee.
However, I did find out this morning walking into work, that I am starting to Jiggle a little around my waist. It is a strange feeling to feel ones belly and waistline jiggle. This, I do not like. So back on the band wagon for me.
Today is Monday and the neat thing is that I am still happy, even tho now, I need to loose 15 pounds instead of 8 pounds. ugh. Ah Well. No more meat for me !
XO

New Frames

Post by: Chris on November 3rd, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Hard to believe that it is already Monday morning. This week is going to be a long one too; as in no time off. The next time our family has some days off will be Thanksgiving, and that is still a ways away. Before the year is over, I need to get eyes checked out. I do believe that I need glasses. I think my contacts are okay, but I always like to have a pair of eyeglasses as well. My eyes just get so tired at night, I have to wear glasses most all evenings now. It is hard getting old for sure, heeheehee.
This time though, I will probably order my glasses on line. My Doc will just give me a prescription and I can find very nice fames through Zenni. This summer I will also need to renew my prescription sunglasses. I need to have glasses for the pool too, otherwise I cannot tell which kid is my son! With Zenni, there is no middle man so I work directly with them. Come to think about it, my son will need Glasses in a couple months too. I will have to check out frames for him as well. Right now he has those lens that get dark in the sun and then lighten up to normal when in a room. He really likes those and so do I. Our eyes are very important to us and we take the best care possible with them.

Why is it that on my days off, at the end of the day I am more exhausted than when I am at work?! My kiddo and I worked very hard yesterday, so hard that we didnt get up ’till 930am this morning! Our normal wake up time is like 8am, which is pretty late considering our normal wake up time during the week is 5am! Anyways . . . the pictures dont do justice to our hard work. We still need to get rid of some stuff, but all in all, it was a very productive day. Today however, will be another working/doing chores, at home Saturday. First on our list is to clean ALL the animals cages; Gerbils, Fish and Turtle. total yuk.

Yikes

Post by: Chris on October 30th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Well our company just publicly announced that there are going to be approx 7000 job layoffs. This is about 10% of our company worldwide. Am I worried . . . ? Hell yeah ! It is totally freakin’ everyone out over here. Deep down we knew it was coming, but such a large number was a little more than expected.
I try not to dwindle on it, but my mind keeps going to the “what ifs”. I gotta stop doing that! I can do nothing about it, it does me no good to worry over it, I have no control, so I better just go along w/my life and try not to stress.
I truely love my job and the people I work with. Yesterday I found out many of my friends will be gone come January. This is SO sad. I have been here 20 years and I would like another 20 at least.
eGads, there I go again!
Today is my Friday, so I need to enjoy my 3 day weekend, enjoy the last of the warm weather, enjoy my family and my life. Life Is Good. So Stop stressin’ woman!
XO

Oh Wow. I have mentioned this before, and will mention this again: my son can bake and I mean he can really bake! He must have gotten those genes from my mother and father, cuz they are wonderful bakers. For me tho, it must have skipped a generation.
Last night my son made Cinnamon Rolls. It was a make-up assignment for school and wow did they turn out terrific! Good thing we had some maxim lighting in our kitchen so that I could take this wonderful picture. Needless to say, I ate 2 and a half of those biggies. They were soooo good! He is getting a A in Home Ec undoubtedly.

Flat

Post by: Chris on October 28th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

OMG OMG OMG.
They just gave me a Flat Screen monitor here at work. It is thee coolest thing! We are so very behind in the time and all of us had those big bulky monitors . . . except me now! and one other guy. The rest of my team still has old decrepit ones, heeheehe.
This will take a bit of getting used to tho, the screen is huge and everyone can see me blog; I will need to really shrink the screen into a little corner . . .
