I love to Travel, and I really did travel A Lot too! That was when I had a boyfriend that worked for a major airlines and we could travel anywhere for $25. Ah, the old days. Well, next on my travel agenda, with out the boyfriend of course, will be to see if I can make it to Spain; Barcelona to be exact. I have been to Europe but not Spain. Barcelona Hotels on the beach, or in a town, a visit the Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi, and of course I’d have to visit the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Opera House). This time I would take my son with. He loves all those old castles, ruins and of course the good food. Yum, lets go !

UK

Post by: Chris on February 7th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things, Travel

Some day I would like to go to the United Kingdom. At work we call it the UK. However I just found out that when mailing letters to the UK, do not put UK on the envelope, put Great Britain. The reason for this, is that UK is the postal code abbreviation for the Ukraine. But I digress. As I was saying, one day I will visit England and when I do, I will be renting a van and therefore I will need van insurance. I will hook up with i-Sure as they are UK based and would get me the best rates possible. I would love to just drive around, backpack and live out of a van for a while. So Fun !

Animals

I am not much of a hunter, and when we fish, we always catch and release, but I do strongly support the people that feed the animals in this fetchin’ cold weather. They use a type of Game Feeder. I have seen these around and they are pretty neat! We have lots of wildlife out here in Utah and there are Ranches up East in our Mountains in which we can take sleigh rides in the winter and watch the animals eat up close. Cold, but neat. And I am alway happy to see happy animals with their bellies full!

No More White Lines

Post by: Chris on January 9th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things, Travel

There is another blizzard out there this morning and its rather difficult driving. All our white lines on the freeway are gone. Its been such a snowy winter, that the plows have been out in full force doing a wonderful job. They always travel in packs of two; on up front and the other follows a little the left. They are huge and take up about two lanes as well. but they are cruisin’ fast though! However, the down part is when they plow so much all the lines dissappear. It’s like follow the leader on the freeways. I’ll bet the auto insurance people are having a hay day, considering all the cars I saw spun out on the side of the road.

San Fran

Post by: Chris on January 8th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things, Family, Travel

Well here I sit, at my desk, working. I am kind-of working that is. I am having a very hard time trying to focus today. It is one of my co-workers birthday and we have food. I mean lots of food. I just finished a big chocolate chip cookie followed by my morning coffee. Of course I am the one that brought the veggie tray, but instead I am eating the cheese ball, crackers, pretzels, cookies, chips and dip. Food has always been a problem for me. I can eat everything in site. Right now my fridge is full of good vegetable only food; cauliflower, soup, carrots, and a nice big salad with feta cheese and tomatoes. What did I eat last night you ask? I maneuvered around all that good stuff and went for the frozen pizza. Go Figure.

It’s that way with me whenever I go to eat too. Have you ever been to a wedding? I mean a real wedding, with good food, music dancing and free drinks? Especially San Francisco Weddings. I bet they are just as fun as the weddings we have attended in Chicago. San Francisco is our favorite town, we used to go there every year and stay with our friends, go to the beaches, into the city and the parks, it was so fun! This summer it will probably be San Diego though, well, I hope anyways.

Traveling

Post by: Chris on December 21st, 2007 | File Under Travel

Since I have today off work, I was watching the morning news and they were saying that today is the busiest airport travel day of the year. Sorry to say, I am not going anywhere this season and especially today! We must have got over a foot of snow overnight. I love it! And in the Mountains, I think I heard over four feet. Way Cool.

Since my mom just got back from Germany last week, I have been really wanting to go somewhere. We did not get a chance to travel anywhere this year. In the next little bit thought, I think I am going to check out flights to Vancouver. I have never been there and hear is beautiful. In fact, I don’t think I have ever been to Canada! I hear the beaches are beautiful, the people wonderful and the sites gorgous. Besides, I totally love to fly! Airplanes are so fun. In fact, I used to jump out of them, but thats another story, heeheehee.

XO
