A Plug for my new Cat Blog

Post by: Chris on October 7th, 2008 | File Under Family, Pets

Well I am taking after my sister and got me another blog. This one is a Cat blog, so its pretty much only Cat (and Animal) stuff. I hope I will be able to keep them both up as time seems to be my enemy some days. Today was a good ‘time’ day as the kiddo was sick so I just blogged all day, heeheehee. But come tomorrow, back to the grind. Its just now I will have twice as much work (sorta speak!)
So, if you-all have some extra time, come visit Rosey, our cat!

Under The Weather

Post by: Chris on October 7th, 2008 | File Under Family, Health

Well the main reason I am so behind today, is that I have a sick child at home. I even had to leave work 2 hours after I got there, so that I could come back home. ugh. We are never sick, but when we do get sick, its always not a good thing. The little man is still sleeping. In his chair! His bed is elevated (like an upper bunkbed) so he cannot sleep there when he is sick cuz he needs to get up and puke rather quickly. And I am SURE you really wanted to hear that ! Here he is, just in case any one needs proof:

Stoves . . .

Post by: Chris on September 30th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things, Family

Okay. I am sitting here at work, wondering if the stove at home will work for dinner tonight. ugh. So I decided to surf around on line and check out new ones! Wow, they have some sleek new electric stoves. They have a double oven stove; its a regular size oven but it does not have the icky drawer on the bottom. There is a smaller oven under the rangetop and a bigger oven under that! It is SO cool ! I want one !

However . . . I really really really HATE the controls in the back, ya know, by the back wall. They also have whats called Slide Ins. The controls are in the front and the back is just flush with the back wall. SO cool ! I want one ! !

As you can tell, I am in the mood to buy a stove. The price for either one of the above is around $1800 smackers. ugh. No stove for me. I am going to look into kitchen sinks next. Cuz I need one of those too! I want the kind of sink that my new Granite countertops will fit over, as in the sink does not just plop in over the countertop, but the countertop is over the sinks edge.

um . . . does anyone have any extra money laying around that they dont want….?

Family

Post by: Chris on September 30th, 2008 | File Under Family

I just had the strangest converstion with my cubbie mate. One of our other team members came over and we were talking about Family, and helping each other out, doing stuff for them, ya know, regular Family stuff that Families do for each other just cuz we love them and they are Family.
Anyways . . my friend was totally shocked at our conversation. I told him I would do anything I could for my Family if the need arose, pay their car insurance, lend them my house to live in; pretty much give them all I had if they needed it more than I did. I mean its only “stuff” anyways. If I think about it, I really dont need the 75 drinking glasses I have in my kitchen - I only need 1 !
I guess my friend argues wiht his brothers about “stuff” all the time; who has more cars, bigger house, better boats, they fight about everything; travel, kids, schools, the list goes on and on and on. so sad really.
I’m like . . hm, I remember the last fight I had w/my sister, I think I was 18? 19 maybe? and it was a stupid fight about me moving back into my parents home and taking back my bedroom, heeheehee.

I am so luck to have such a great family.
XOXO

Crumbs

Post by: Chris on September 28th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things, Family

I think I broke my Stove yesterday. I was getting this big fat heavy coffee mug that I use for Tea from a shelf above my stove and it slipped out of my hands. Go figure that the mug is fine, but the stove is not. My stove is an electric one, flat, smooth, black top, rather nice. Well, it now has a big chunk missing from the back left burner. Plus, it spider-webbed and there are many lines/cracks that reach thru the back right burner and front left burner. I guess it is, or was, a type of glass, cuz when I clean over it now, I can feel the cracks all over the fetchin’ stovetop ! ! eGads I am so pissed. The oven works fine, but I am scared to use the stovetop. crap crap crap crap.

I am beginning to think that taking care of 3 Gerbils, 2 Fish, 1 Turtle and 1 Cat are almost too much for my son. He is doing very well I must say, but it is very time consuming. Yesterday it took 45 minutes to totally clean the fish tank and today it took about 30 minutes to do the Gerbil cage. Plus he does ALL the chores regarding Rosey cat and Seaweed turtle. I almost, almost feel a little guilty! Here are some pics of him working hard.

It’s Time

From what I hear, it’s the perfect time to buy a house. That is, IF you have good credit and some extra cash. If I had extra cash I’d buy me one, well, it would actually be for my son for when he grows up. I would rent it out till then.
Right up there with getting a new place is moving into the new place! Since I don’t have a big truck, we;d have to go the truck rental way. I would never have a company pack my belongings though, I would do that myself. ABF U-Pack Moving would provide the rental truck at my house and I would pack all my special boxes in just the way I want. I would load them and stack to make sure they are all safe and sound. Then ABF would drive the fully loaded rental truck to my new place. How nice, as I am sure I could not drive one of those big honkers anyways! You can always check them out with the Better Business Bureau too, their ratings are top notch!

Bragging

Post by: Chris on September 25th, 2008 | File Under Family

We had Parent/Teacher Conference last night. Wow. I must have thee best kid I swear! All his teachers only have wonderful things to say about him. He is really growing up to be a terrific kid (soon I will need to change that and say ‘adult’). He will do more in life than sell office supplies for sure! Right now, he has A’s in every class except Math, which was a B+. and we figured out the reason why last night; he is missing 2 assigments. He was placed in a higher Math class the 2nd week of school, so thats why he missed those assignments, he never got them! The Teach is totally cool and said he can make them up and turn them in any ol’ time, no rush, just whenever. I’m like, wow . . . my teachers were never that cool. But then again, I was never that smart in Math either.
So Kudos to my very smart son ! ! His treat today will be Carl’s Jr for dinner. Hey, its what he wanted and we never ever go there. and no . . . I will not eat there, I get Salad for dinner, heeheehee
XO
