Sigh of Relief

Post by: Chris on October 22nd, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Well the Kiddo passed his Life Scout Board of Review last night. After failing him the first time (for needing more leadership qualities) they passed him last night. I was not there, but the ‘word’ from him is that they asked him only one follow-up question: What do you feel you can improve upon. Well of course we did not prepare for that one, so he came up w/the answer himself; I need to go camping w/the Troop more. (the Troop goes every fetchin’ month of the year-except nov & dec).
I am very proud of him tho, this troop is (in my opinion) just a little too Gung Ho, they are nutso for Camping. Anyways, I think a reward is due. I know he wants a lcd monitor, but maybe for Christmas on that one. He just might have to settle for Cold Stone Ice Cream instead.

Zions

Post by: Chris on October 21st, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

I really disslike Zions Bank. Its a local bank here in SLC. They are owned (I believe) by the LDS Church. I am a signer our Home Owners DBA account there. The other signer, who is the primary signer, moved from our Condo Association like 5-7 years ago. Well I guess he movied again cuz I get this letter in the mail saying the address has been changed on the checking account; so I am not getting any statements. I just got off the phone with Zions, again, and they say I cannot change the address back to my address cuz I am not the primary holder! I have no way of reaching this other guy, and of course they will not release any info either. I have been dealing w/this issue for the past week now. It is so fetchin’ stressfull dealing w/this bank. If this doesnt get resolved soon, I am going to have to get me some acne treatment!
So, after talking w/this lovely (not) Lady, the only option I have is to close the account all together. Guess what, I have access to do that, but not change the address. Does this make any sense…..? not to me. sheesh.

Well I did it! I measured correctly, my Dad cut out the shelves, I painted them, and they turned out pretty good! I dont have a door/cabinet on the face yet, but I am very happy w/the outcome. I have SO much storage space now! I love it! Now I just need that Stove, a new Sink and new Granite countertops. I little at a time tho, I need to save the money first. Here are some Before, During and After pictures :) IMG_1257

Drama

Post by: Chris on October 17th, 2008 | File Under CoDependant, Every Day Things

Since I am a CoDependant I usually thrive on excitment, relationships, drama and the rush of an overall hectic life. However, as you can tell, I have avoided that life lately (for about 1.5 years now). I dont like living that way and have made many choice NOT to live like that anymore; thus resulting in a rather mundane life with no drama, thus resulting in not many interesting posts!
Now that my son is older (and I am older!), I can relax a bit, watch the world go by and enjoy the simple life. Even tho it is rather boring at times, I have decided that I would rather be bored than so fetchin’ stressed out all the time. And besides, if I wanted to, I can always get back ‘out there’, start dating, being social and well, ya know, just doin’ stuff!
This weekend will be nice; in the 70’s so the weather man says. We are planning on seeing the movie, City of Embers. We will walk to the theater of course; need to get the kiddo away from his games and the PS3. The walk is all uphill, so I hope to loose a pound, or two if I am lucky!
XO

Misc

Post by: Chris on October 15th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Well I have like way too many Cat pictures on this blog right now! Sorry ’bout that. I will try and post more words.
However, for the next few days I will be working only half-days. It is UEA here in Utah and everybody goes Deer hunting so they close school down for a long 5 day weekend.
I have a long list of things to do. My main project is to put up shelves in the space where my dishwasher is supposed to be. I gave up on getting a dishwasher and will do the dishes all by hand now. Its saves me water and I actually like washing dishes; gives me alone time, time to think and time to meditate. Weird, I know :)

Lost Connection

Well I have been without internet since early Saturday. Totally sucks; feels like my right arm is missing when I cant access the web. Anyways, it made a good weekend to clean the house, wash the clothes and have slow-cooker bbq ribs, yum! Good thing not much happened. We did finally find a place to put the Gerbils; they are now on my kitchen countertop (which is better than the floor-see pic). Our Cat has to jump up to watch them and we have some chimes that she bumps so we know when she is there, so we can keep an eye out. Oh, and it snowed this weekend too. I love snow, but I think I love summer more.
