Good Evening and Welcome to the Weekend. I am SO glad the week is over (as usual). All in all it has been a fairly good week. The Kiddo is doing extremely well in High School, getting used to his teachers and he even LIKES French class! Amazing to say the least. I hate French; took a night class, but failed miserably. The kiddo however, is really catching on and everyday he speaks something new to me in French. Totally Amazing.

This weekend we need to run a few errands, as usual I guess. Spend more money. This time; Costco. I hate that place and love that place at the same time. Go Figure. They have so much fun stuff there; food, toys, and I bet they will start having Christmas stuff soon. At least I am covered with Blue Cross NC in case I slip or fall while in the store. Weekends tend to be a Zoo there; I am not looking forward to it . . .

Today is Day Two of High School for my son. So Far So Good. He is really getting the hang of it and I think I even heard him say today that he likes school! He has 4 out of his 5 classes that are Honor classes, so when he says he likes it, that is something to rave about!
I am happy, relieved and the stress is slowly leaving the house. We have stocked up on all his school paper supplies, books, promotional products and any thing else wants. I want him to be happy at school and if has the stuff he needs at school we are both happy!
However, I am rather exhausted. I gave up on the kitchen today after cooking a full meal - there are dishes everywhere, but I am taking Thur and Fri off work so that I can relax and clean up this place. I cant wait till the weekend to sleep in again. *sigh*

We have a canal that runs behind our house and it is a nice path to walk on in the summertime. The other day my son noticed a big bird flying around. He took a good pic of the bird, but he was pretty high up there in the trees. and, after that we saw its mate. Totally cool ! We think it is either a Falcon or a Hawk of some type. We could have sat in the neighbors wooden swing set all day and watched them. They eventually flew off, but we have seen them before and we think they have a nest nearby!

Looks like we need to make another trip to Costco. My sis and I share a membership so it doesn’t kill our budget, but when I seem to actually GO there, that in itself kills my budget. We do stock up on only the stuff that we need, but it still seems to add up. and I do compare prices all the fetchin’ time, so I do save money in the long run, but it still takes a chunk whenever I visit our wholesale housewares stores. eGads, I am not looking forward to this trip as we need a lot of ’stuff’. ugh.

My son is nuts for Nerf items; mostly blasters. He went to the store with my Dad today and he bought himself another one. I refuse to buy any for him, so its all his money. When (IF) he gets married when he is older, he will prob still be hooked on Nerf and his groomsmen gifts will prob be something Nerf related! I can just see the wedding cake orange and black. sheesh.

There is so much stuff that I want to improve around the house, that I have been seriously thinking about a Home Improvement Loan. The rates are just so low these days . . . . But I am still thinking. It takes me a while to think and process info these days.

But if I did improve the house, I would get a new Slider, a new bedroom window, granite counter tops with a new Kohler kitchen sink, new sliders for the bathroom shower/tub area . . . gosh, the list goes on. Perhaps I better think more . . . ugh.

Well my son officially told me he does not like Jeeps. Well, I told him that there are two types of people; people that like Jeeps and people that dont like Jeeps! He is in the Don’t Like catagory.

This happened a few days ago so I have calmed down a little, but still ! ! ! I love my Jeep. The reason why he does not; it is a Stick Shift.

So we got into a little arguement in which he totally freaked out and since then - I have not offered, suggested, or implied that he should pratice driving. He has his learners permit, but as far as I am concerned, I give up. If he does not want to drive, or learn a Stick (which is the only vehicle we have), FINE ! ! This way I will save lots of dough on car insurance. So there !

Today I stepped on the scale. It is two weeks to the day that I said I was going to loose these 15 lbs. and I have not stepped on the scale since, well . . . okay, I did once, fully clothed, just to make sure I was on track. And I seem be doing okay. Nothing major, but my goal of 5 pounds a month is actually getting somewhere. Today I was 3.8 pounds less that I was 2 weeks ago. I am happy. sorta. Its not like I want to loose 15 lbs in two weeks! okay - I really DO, but I know that I need to be patient and if I stick to it, the pounds will come off. slowly. but they will come off. Soon I will be able to fit into those apple bottom jeans and look good for Fall. Right now I cant fit into any jeans!
Slow and Steady wins the race. I just have to remember that
