Peachy

Post by: Chris on October 24th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

This day is starting out just peachy! I cant seem to log into some of my programs which makes for absolutly nothing to do here at work. Some people are good to go, some are not. I just happen to be in the ‘not’ good to go group. Ah well, being here at work still beats being at a Washington DC dentist! Speaking of, I am a couple months over due on my 6 month checkup. I seem to keep putting my dentist off. ah well, better get to finding at least somethin’ to do.

Happy Thursday

Post by: Chris on October 23rd, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

I have no clue why Thursdays are my Fav day of the week, but I always seem to be rather happy on this day. Today is no different. I just woke up in a good mood; I know, hard to imagine being in a good mood at 5 AM!
However, I have been craving meat again. I have been doin’ good and cant remember the last red or white meat, that I ate. I think my bod is saying ‘I want some meat’ and no, I am not suggesting anything sexual here, even tho….. okay, anyways!
We just might hit Hires after work/school and grab a burger. My kiddo hates Pizza so thats out (cuz I’d eat the entire pie by myself!)
I know I will gain a pound tho if I get eat a burger and it will take me all weekend to loose just that pound. So….my delima….is a burger worth it? Oh, and pie too, they are bringing in Double Lemon Cream Pie.
*sigh* tomorrow is always another day, heeheehee

Sigh of Relief

Post by: Chris on October 22nd, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Well the Kiddo passed his Life Scout Board of Review last night. After failing him the first time (for needing more leadership qualities) they passed him last night. I was not there, but the ‘word’ from him is that they asked him only one follow-up question: What do you feel you can improve upon. Well of course we did not prepare for that one, so he came up w/the answer himself; I need to go camping w/the Troop more. (the Troop goes every fetchin’ month of the year-except nov & dec).
I am very proud of him tho, this troop is (in my opinion) just a little too Gung Ho, they are nutso for Camping. Anyways, I think a reward is due. I know he wants a lcd monitor, but maybe for Christmas on that one. He just might have to settle for Cold Stone Ice Cream instead.

Zions

Post by: Chris on October 21st, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

I really disslike Zions Bank. Its a local bank here in SLC. They are owned (I believe) by the LDS Church. I am a signer our Home Owners DBA account there. The other signer, who is the primary signer, moved from our Condo Association like 5-7 years ago. Well I guess he movied again cuz I get this letter in the mail saying the address has been changed on the checking account; so I am not getting any statements. I just got off the phone with Zions, again, and they say I cannot change the address back to my address cuz I am not the primary holder! I have no way of reaching this other guy, and of course they will not release any info either. I have been dealing w/this issue for the past week now. It is so fetchin’ stressfull dealing w/this bank. If this doesnt get resolved soon, I am going to have to get me some acne treatment!
So, after talking w/this lovely (not) Lady, the only option I have is to close the account all together. Guess what, I have access to do that, but not change the address. Does this make any sense…..? not to me. sheesh.

Monday

Post by: Chris on October 20th, 2008 | File Under Family

Wow. So much for that weekend! Never did get to the Movies either. City of Embers was playing at a far away theater so we did not go. pooh. Ah well, we might have to wait till it hits the Dollar Theater.
I got lots accomplished tho; dug out the dead Tomatoes, Flowers, hosed down the house, we are just about ready for winter. The kiddo, on the other hand, didnt do much of anything. He found a Pokemon Chat site. eGads. You should have seen him: DS Lite in one hand trading characters, laptop on his lap w/at least 3 people up on chat, plus - he had Pokemon Ranch on the TV ! !
I remember the simple days of when he was just a baby. We’d go for long walks, me pushing the stroller. That stroller was heavy tho! These days they have much nicers strollers; three wheelers, ones made for joggers, lightweight, compact, cool colors, single, doubles, man - there are some really nice ones out there today! If I had a younger kiddo, I’d definatly get a stylin’ stroller.

Well I did it! I measured correctly, my Dad cut out the shelves, I painted them, and they turned out pretty good! I dont have a door/cabinet on the face yet, but I am very happy w/the outcome. I have SO much storage space now! I love it! Now I just need that Stove, a new Sink and new Granite countertops. I little at a time tho, I need to save the money first. Here are some Before, During and After pictures :) IMG_1257

Drama

Post by: Chris on October 17th, 2008 | File Under CoDependant, Every Day Things

Since I am a CoDependant I usually thrive on excitment, relationships, drama and the rush of an overall hectic life. However, as you can tell, I have avoided that life lately (for about 1.5 years now). I dont like living that way and have made many choice NOT to live like that anymore; thus resulting in a rather mundane life with no drama, thus resulting in not many interesting posts!
Now that my son is older (and I am older!), I can relax a bit, watch the world go by and enjoy the simple life. Even tho it is rather boring at times, I have decided that I would rather be bored than so fetchin’ stressed out all the time. And besides, if I wanted to, I can always get back ‘out there’, start dating, being social and well, ya know, just doin’ stuff!
This weekend will be nice; in the 70’s so the weather man says. We are planning on seeing the movie, City of Embers. We will walk to the theater of course; need to get the kiddo away from his games and the PS3. The walk is all uphill, so I hope to loose a pound, or two if I am lucky!
XO
