I work in a phone shop, however I never make outgoing phone calls. I don’t like to call our customers as these days even I am suspicious of business’ calling me. I had to cancel my land line at home so that annoying callers would leave me alone. But that was before I found out about this nifty website that allows people to leave comments about the bad calls they are getting. I can leave the number that called me, tell what the call was about, and see if anyone else is having the same probles with that company/person. It is basicly a database in which I can search area codes and share information.
One thing to remember though, is never ever ever give any personal information over the phone to any caller. Do not give your address, your name, never tell them if you are alone or single or your age, etc. Even if the caller claims they are your bank or credit card, they will never ask you for personal information. If they do, get on AnnoyingCallers.Com and post thier number with your comment, and lets help stop these people from calling us !

I was hoping to write a nice post on how I fixed our toilet here at home all by myself. However, after a days work and ponderings, I still dont have it fixed! I know that the Flapper needed to be replaced, so we went to Home Depot to get another one, installed it, fixed the bubble thingy in the tank, but now the Flapper will not stay open when if flushes. We have to hold down the lever till all the water swishes around, then let go. What I figure, is the flapper is too heavy for the handle to hold up. So I need to figure our if I need to go get a differernt Flapper, or a new handle. I did find out the Toilet was made in 1987, so it might need more work than I think!

Up where my parents live the Squirrels have invaded. Seriously. They are fetchin’ everywhere. They ate my Moms baby plants in Spring (I know, weird huh) and now they climb up the metal pole where the Bird Food is and they have started eating the (needless to say, expensive) Bird Food. My Dad tried everything to stop them from eating it all; making the pole slick, putting chicken wire around it, and who-knows what else he tried.
He probably should have tried organic repellent sprays for his critter control problems. Critter Ridder is an organic spray that irritates the animals when they touch or taste the pole, or even sometimes smell, whatever it is that you want the animals to stay away from. It does not hurt them in any way, but I would think that they would not come back anytime soon! My Dad is on line a lot and I should mention to him that he can research the Critter Control library for more info. However, I think that might be too late. They gave the Bird Feeder to me ! It now hangs in my backyard. Birds do come, during the day, when our Cat Rosey is locked inside when we are at work. But . . . as you can see from the picture below, when we get home, she goes right outside and sits directly under the Bird feeder and waits for the Birdies. Those birds are pretty smart tho, they tease her as for some uknown reason, they know she cannot reach them! But still she sits; looking up and waiting.
More than likely, the reason she cannot jump up and get them is she is a tad on the cubby side ! ha !
(if you click the pics, they should become bigger)

I love Whole Foods, and, my son loves that store too! He actually eats the veggies and organic items we buy there. But I am getting away from my main topic here. Whole Foods is having a Back to School Podcast Series to help us get healthy and ready to get back to school. There is a very nice video on their blog, and lots of good information regarding going natural, what foods help the kids think better in school and on tests, and even help on ‘going green’. I am a big fan of going green. We do as much as possible in our family, but I am always up for new idea. So if you are like me and need more ideas, check them out.

Remeber that song, “Rock Me Amadeus” ?, I love that song! It somehow reminded me that I no longer hear the twinkling of piano keys at home. We lost our Music Teacher and my son is having a hard time getting back into playing the Piano. I have been searching for a new teacher, and am now checking out Amadeus Home Music School. They have a list of local private lesson teachers so I am hoping to find way cool teacher through them.
I have had a annoying minor headache for the past couple days. I have heard that some headaches are from the lack of drinking enough water during the day. I must admit, I have not been drinking my normal amount of 5 glasses a day. Wednesdays are hard, cuz I only work a 1/2 day and I drink pretty much all my water at work. Today is better; so far-1 glass. but its only like noon. Only Noon! eGads. It feels like 5pm. This day is totally draggin’. All the big boss’s went to lunch at Market Street Broiler, sheesh, they must have a huge buget cuz that place is expensive! very good, but expensive.
At least it is nice and quiet here now; no one to make me work, heeheehee.

Oh Boy. The boss just came over and informed us all that we are having an Off Site friday. This means, we leave the building and go someplace for an informal meeting. My prob is the meeting is at Cracker Barrel restaurant. for breakfast. I LOVE breakfast! I am doing fairly well this week food-wise, so I just hope I have the strength to not pig out. I will have to check thier menu on line and mentally prepare for this. ugh.
