Relax

Okay. I could use this, yupe, sounds good to me: The Takemi Jade Vista 5000 Massage Bed . A LightSpeed massage bed that changes light from technologically advanced helium projector bulbs, into a special wavelength of light called Far Infrared. Sounds totally soothing to me. Plus, I can listen to my fav tones as it has a built in MP3 Player. Immediate Relief, Relaxation, Health & Vitality are the results of the Massage Bed. Many Chiropractic professionals are starting to use these beds and they are poppin’ up in every day homes as well. Wow. To have one of these in my house; Good Bye Stress!

Bills

Post by: Chris on July 21st, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things, Family

Being Monday and I, and, since I didnt do squat all weekend, I am now figuring out my bills. And, the bad news is . . . I dont seem to have enough money to cover them all. The good news is . . . I get 3 paychecks in August. However, it is not August yet. The next couple weeks are going to be tight. Sometime this being Single kinda sucks; no one to rely on but myself *sigh*

blah . . .

Post by: Chris on July 21st, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Well this past weekend was a total waste. I didnt do a fetchin’ thing! Okay, I did water the grass a little and check my plants, but thats pretty much it. Oh, and I did gain 1.5 pounds, and yupe, that is the result of doing nothing.
This morning, however, I stood on the scale and since I knew it was going to be terrible, I didnt freak out; I am starting fresh today and with a good attitude. I know I can loose the pound in a day or two and it is only Monday and I have the entire week to keep my goal of loosing 2 lbs a week. I can make it happen. I just have to do it !
We have plans already for this coming weekend, and they include lots of walking. I will not lug around any golf bags, but we might go play Minature Golf, walk to see a Movie and just plain get outside.
I have a possitive attitude today. So There !

Nothing Much

Post by: Chris on July 18th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Well the week is winding down and things are slowing up. Today I have no complaints, no gripes and nothing to be angry or grumpy about. So, in other words, not much to post about !
I do however, want to continue this mellow mood and am trying to convince the kiddo to go fishing tomorrow evening. We could use a nice jaunt to the mountains (30 minute drive), fresh air and hopefully a fish to catch and release.
Oh, and I do need to make my Rhubarb-Strawberry Cobble today when I get home; half goes to my sis tomorrow. I hope it turns out good. It’s a Weight Watchers Recipe and is only 200 calories per serving. I need to give my sister half, cuz otherwise I’d eat the entire fetchin’ thing!

Change

Post by: Chris on July 18th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

The company I work for has gone through a lot of changes in the almost 20 years I have been here. We don’t really have a choice either. Part of our team works with direct marketing mailing list and due to new legal restrictions, we really have to be alert when a customer Opts Out. The people over the wall from me deal with direct marketing and they take incoming calls, and wow, some of those calls are sure interesting. And I am sure the banks have are dealing a lot with mortgage leads as well. These days business’ sure need to keep up and adapt to the constant change in our world.

In this Video Brian Rice of Red Clay Media discusses the new Red Clay Media adapting to a changing marketplace. The fundamental strength of Red Clay’s value to customers remains in strong data analytics.
As the economy changes more companies are awakening to the need for this service to help target and focus marketing dollars to improve their return on investment.

Eating Out

Post by: Chris on July 17th, 2008 | File Under Health, Weight Watching

I got to work this morning and had an interesting converstation w/my cubbie mate. We somehow got on the topic of eating out at fast food places and restaurants. I guess he went to a Play w/his 18 year old son and they wanted to do dinner before hand. Which is fine. He asked his son where they should go eat; anyplace, anyplace at all. He choose McDonalds. D’oh! I would have choose something like a famous SteakHouse!
Anyway, this family of 4 kids and mom/dad, eat out, I swear, at least Once A Day. They run out of new places to try so thats why the kid requested McD’s. Needless to say, the Dad is around 80 lbs overweight and the Mom is around 50 lbs overweight, the kids are chubby, but not too bad. Yet.
Other than the health issues, I have no clue how they afford this either! We eat our about once a week; twice a week max, and then one of those times is Subway.
Like our Fitness Lady said yesterday at our weekly meeting; it is no wonder 1/3 of the US population have some type of cancer. The kind of food we put in our boddies is just terrible ! ! All that proccessed foods w/ingredients I cannot even pronounce, should not be eaten. Yuck ! If I cannot pronounce it, I do not eat it.
Okay, thats not true . . . I have Diet Coke w/Lime one a day. whoops!

I hate spending money!

Post by: Chris on July 16th, 2008 | File Under Family

Well today is just way too stressful for my liking. It was my short day at work, so I came home and the kiddo and I went to the grocery store. I wanted to walk, as we needed only two thing; Fat Free Sour Cream and Strawberries (I am making a low fat Rhubarb-Strawberry Cobbler). Anyways, we did not walk and guess how much money we ended up spending ? $100 smackers. eGads ! ! ! The good thing is that every single item was on sale; uh, like that mattered! I wrote a check, came home and immediately once again, am stressing out over much needed Debt relief. I know we need to eat, and this will hold us over for at least a month, but it still stresses me out.
So I go on line, trying to easy my worries and take this neat Free questionnaire to find out my Bills IQ score. Well, I am average at least; 77 %, which is a C grade. Yuck ! I hate C’s. So I need to work on a few things financially. I do good with Credit Cards 86%, Debt 79% & Buget 86%. My Wealth sucks at 59% and Life Plan is 74%, ‘cuz I plan to work till death. The good news is that I do have options to improve my scores and improve my future. The on line site Bills.Com made some recommendation to me and they are surprisingly good recommendation; especially since I did not have to talk to a real person! I hate that btw, I love not having to talk to people unless I want to.
So now I just have to get my finances in gear, which will of course, result in less stress!
