Pools
Monday 28th of July 2008 01:40:39 PMI have decided I really like 4 day weekends. So much in fact, that I am taking this Thursday and Friday off work once again. No sitting on office furniture chairs this weekend! We are planning a day at the Pool w/my son and his best friend. It should be nice; I get to sit on my butt all day and lounge by the pool while the boys play. Wow, that sounds so nice ! !
We have not been to the pool all summer. I have been very self conscience about how I look in a bathing suit and have been avoiding pools. Which is really pretty sad cuz I love water and soaking up the sunshine. And I know that I should not be so worried by what everybody else thinks about how I look (like they care!) but I do, non-the-less. I dont have fun unless I feel good about myself. Totally Stupid I know! and I am workin’ on it, but it is very hard to un-do years of negative thoughts. ugh.

I’m the same way! I have 3 different swim suits and only one will I usually wear in public. Although, I did buy a pair of nylon shorts to wear along with my suit and that helps me feel better about my butt!

Who doesn’t like 4 day weekends. Enjoy yours.
People should feel enough self concious enough about how they look in a bathing suit that they wear the proper suit or the short thing.
That applies to both men and women and not just at the swimming pool. Somethings just shouldn’t be done. You’d never catch me in a speedo. And I would be wearing a t-shirt unless I was actually in the water.

wha….? no Speedo ? oh gee, I am sad - as I am sure you would look like SO totally hot dude. I am going to brave it and wear a bikini, as I dont have anything else ! I do have board shorts, so if I feel too fat, I will slip those on. XO

Here is what you do before getting into your bathing suite go shopping at Wal-Mart. I think everyone is bigger then me and I leave there feeling like a million dollars. Another thing I have figured out is the skinny women either have health problems or are unhappy. See us fluffy women are just healthy and happy! It’s all a head game. Oh I also love 4 day weekends. I’m on vacation this week. Yesterday I went to the doctors, today I took my little guy and his friend to the movies ($50), tomorrow I talk my little guy to the doctors then we go on a mini vaca the rest of the week. Time flys. I do miss my network computer at work this laptop sucks!!!! Sorry I just had to add that.

Tammy, funny ! But you are right, I have felt that way before when I am in walmart
and skinny people do have health and mental problems. I swear I obsess over my weight, so I know I have a mental problem there!
