Wordless Wednesday, Tuesday Edition.
We went Campin’ and had a great time!

Well I made it through the day at work, am now home relaxing on my couch and finally have some time to blog. It is so nice to be home. Then again, it would be so nice to be on vacation as well! I could be in one of the many Used RVs, traveling down the road instead of stuck here at home. Since we are the tent camping type of people, I have always dreamed of camping in an RV. I can just imagine the comfort, the convenience, the luxury of a RV. I would travel the States, from the West Coast to the East Coast, visiting my friends along the way. It is always fun to browse around looking at RV’s, because one day I just might have one.
Comments (One response so far)Oh My Gosh. I am so busy at work today. Plus, I am way behind in my End of Month Reports. It kinda crept up on my this time! I won’t be able to do much blogging today, I hope tomorrow my co-worker will kick it in gear and help me out.
At least I dont have time to eat either ! !
I am turning 45 next month. Yupe, getting old, I know. My dad always told me that his mind always felt younger than his body, and now I know exactly what he means. I sure as heck don’t feel 45, more like 30, heeheehee.
So I entered a Makeover contest! This contest is only for women over the age of 35. To enter you simply submit an essay about a time in your life where something extraordinary happened and your life was transformed.
My essay was about me gaining 70 pounds during my pregnancy, and my X deciding to leave us when my son was 6 months old. How I overcame my obsession with Chocolate Chips and Peanut Butter, how I lost those 70 lbs and more.
I started by changing my shift at work, changing my attitude, and most of all changing my mental state. We moved into my parents’ home and that provided the start for a loving happy and healthy environment for both my son and I. It took me 3 years to get healthy and happy again. When I was mentally and physically well, my son and I bought a Condo and moved out on our own. It’s amazing that just one major life changing experience that started out for the worse could end up being the best thing ever to happen to us.
It’s very easy to enter the contest; so all you gals over 35 out there, go enter the contest and good luck in winning a free make over, because if you are a Mom like me, we sure could use some pampering!
Yupe, my boy is Lazy. I do believe it is a phase he is goin’ thu, him being 13 now and all.
uh huh, sure, right, like I really believe that one !
Anyways . . . we bought my son a Lazy Boy recliner. He has been wanting one; just like his Opas’ chair. I figure, this way I can get my couch back, and he gets the chair. However, ya know . . it IS very nice! I actually like it ! Which is a total surprise to me, cuz I thought I’d hate it. But here’s a pic. I think this will be his permanent position for the rest of summer. sheesh.

Today I did not work. Took a vacation day; PTO is what we call it (Paid Time Off). Sometimes it is just too stressfull at work, especially at the end of the Month when all my reports are due. This month they are going to be late; I will get them done probably July 4th as I have to work the Holiday. My boss is great though and is aware that sometimes we need different types of stress reduction at work. Mostly he brings in Donuts, heeheehee, and that does help. We also sometimes have seminars that assist us with the work stress, school stress and just basic every day living stress. Our company knows that if we are stressful at home, it carries on to work. Of course work adds to that Stress sometimes and the StressInstitute.com can help. Seminars are pretty good and make me think about new ways to help me live stress free. Heck I hate stress ! I eat when I am stressed ! Oh, today we had a pizza, and yes, I have been stressed today. Even though I didn’t work, its is stressfull to be at home with the kiddo all fetchin’ day! I really look up to you SAHMs, I don’t know how you do it ! !
Comments (No responses yet)I have been craving Ice Cream this Summer. oh, and Shakes, they have some good Shakes out West ya know!
I have found the Weight Watchers Giant Fudge Bars are pretty good; not the same as a Shake, but close. Anyways, since I have been cravin’ the stuff I thought I’d take this quiz:
|
You Are Chocolate Chip Ice Cream |
![]() You are kind, popular, and generous. You tend to be successful at anything you try. A social butterfly, you are great at entertaining a crowd. You are most compatible with strawberry ice cream. |
I just canceled my on line subscription to Weight Watchers. It was costing me $14.95 a month and I got to thinkin’ that I need the money more than I need that right now. I have been doing Weight Watchers for a little over 4 years, and I really really like it; all in all I lost around 44 pounds. Okay, I gained back 10 of them, but I still think I did good. I am working on loosing those 10 pounds and I know I can do it, I now have the skills. I just need more determination. No drugs for me, and no legal steroids, just plain old diet and well, diet I guess, cuz I really hate exercising !
Ah well. Now I am depressed, prob cuz I just ate some breaded Chicken for dinner. eGads. You know, this entire dieting, life-style changing, food thing is taking over my life. I swear I have an eating dissorder. I need to get over it ! ! !
