Our Help Desk
Thursday 29th of May 2008 10:49:35 AMOkay, I am totally ROFL here at work right now and just had to share. I work, lets just say, for one of the top 3 Credit Card Companies and I sit in a row of cubbies. My Boss sits just one down from me and he is right now on the line w/the Help Desk, on speaker phone. We are both just dyin’ over here as neither one of us can understand this guy ! Yes . . our Help Desk is in India. They talk very fast English, but let me tell ya, it sure does not sound anything like English. We catch about one word per entire sentence. We encounter this problem all the time too. I know they mean well, but come on ! So much time is wasted, which of course translates to productivity wasted, which translates into money waisted. We all just dread calling the Help Desk around here.
We are migrating to a new sign in process and about half our floor is having problems, as in they cannot get signed in! So everyone is sitting around blabbing away about nothing. My time has not come yet, but I am dreading it already. Dreading it almost as much as putting on French maid costumes and cleaning up my house! Which, by the way, is a totaly disaster right now!

We have taken to calling our Help Desk the “Hope Desk”.

Drives me crazy that companies will sacrifice customer service for profit.

Hi Leigh, I really really really hate outsourcing. Its no wonder a lot of companies are going under; the customer service sucks!
