When were we at my folks house yesterday, my sis and I brought out our laptops, of course. The fun part is that we both have the exact same kind. Which helps me wonderfully, as I am not as hmmm, lets say, smart, as she is! Since we are both so darn busy, we very rarely have time to do Blog stuff together, so we take every opportunity we can when we are together. Since she is the pro when it comes to web hosting, I come to her with all my million questions. This time she showed me a little bit on how to clean up Vista and make it start up faster. I still have a few miscellaneous things to do, but she showed me the basics and when I have time, I can sort through it all and see if I can delete some other hidden start-up programs that I don’t need. I am so very lucky to have such a wonderful sister! You rock woman! Love ya lots XOXOX

What a busy weekend! I have not blogged much either, so I am now trying to catch up. I took today off work and when I am not in front of a pc for 8 hours, sometimes I just dont get online. I hope everyone had a great Easter. We went to the folks and saw the sis and hubby, ate a huge Ham dinner and had a great time. My Mom goes totally out when she has holiday dinners. Her house is amazingly gorgous too I would not be surprized if she had Schlage products. Of course I would not know for sure, as I am still working on stiffing my house up, slowly of course as its so time consuming and fetchin’ expensive! Here is a picture of the Easter dinner table, Beautiful ! !

Yellow

Post by: Chris on March 22nd, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Today we did a lot around the house. Sometimes I get a bug in me and want to change things, and today I started. I purchased some yellow paint last summer, in 2007, and was planning to paint the kitchen ceiling….well, I finially did it today. And I really love it ! I was worried when I opened the paint can as it was rather on the too yellow side, but now that its up; way cool. I still want granite countertops, that that is way out of my price range. I am instead doing little things to spiff up the place first. Next might even be some Hansgrohe faucets.

Here are a couple pic’s of my ceiling area :) hmmm, the first pic is the actual color, the second one is kinda dark, but I like the Limbach symbol…

Post by: Chris on March 21st, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things, Family

It is Friday and I am so not at work, how cool is that ?! Plus, the kiddo had a sleepover w/his best friend and they were sooo good last night. They went to bed when we agreed, kept quiet so I could get to bed early and they are now quietly playing together so I can have some free time. Gosh, it is just great when things work out so well. Now if more things worked the way I wanted, boy would I be forever happy !

However, we do have a long weekend ahead. Tons of homework, house chores, shopping and cleaning. But it will still be nice. I am very lucky to have such a terrific kid who also likes a clean house, and….he loves to shop! I dont know if that is a good thing, but at least he doesnt fight me on it. Well, Okay, he doesnt like to shop for shoes and women stuff, but like SportsMans Wearhouse and Costco, he is There !

Well I better get my butt in gear and get to it. Its like 10:30 and I am still drinkin’ my coffe !

XO

consolidate

Post by: Chris on March 20th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

I am still trying to save money for that table I want. And, well, a multitude of other things that I want too. But mostly I want that Table. I have been thinking of actually charging it on a Credt Card. I finially finished paying off all my Credit Cards and I don’t owe squat. Well, not quite true. I have a bill coming soon, but I will pay that off in full, as it only has like Gas charged on it. When I was married, eons ago, we had a bit too much debt and opted for debt consolidation. It was a good choice. We had all our debt paid off in about a year. Plus, since I was the finance manager, I only had to worry about paying one bill each month instead of like ten! It really worked as when I got divorced, I did not have to worry, as I was debt free by then.

So, my problem is a simple one now; Charge It, or save for another month….*sigh*

messed up

Post by: Chris on March 20th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Well good thing it is my Friday today cuz things are not working very good today! My blog is totally messed up. I signed in and my other theme was totally skewed; no side bar, no meta, no nothing. It took me a bit to even sign in as admin. No Fun. So now I have this totally boring theme and the posts are contained in blocks. I dont like blocks! So Please pardon the theme until I get this all figured out. Which will be when I get back home and see if my FTP is working. ugh.

rocks

Post by: Chris on March 19th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

We now have five rather large, rock chips in our Jeepsters’ windshield. Yesterday I drove to work, came out that afternoon and found this rather big crack. The chips are over in the passenger side, but this crack…well, its right smack in front of me! It is more towards the hood, but today I think I noticed it’s getting bigger, like it is reaching for the sky. We have lots of trucks in the winter; snow plows, sand and gravel trucks, and I know some of those chips are new this year. I bet many Minneapolis windshield are in the same boat that I am in this year, as I know they have had a harsh winter too. My insurance does have a deductable, but I have to look it up and find out how much I’d have to pay; just in case that crack gets worse and it won’t pass inspection come next fall. Ugh.
