kids

We have a Court of Honor coming up for Scouts this week. My son has not done much in the past months. We finally did get him to do his Ice Skating Badge, but thats it! I am glad to have a son though, I don’t think I would like much having a girl. Boys don’t care about their hair, what they wear or even if they take a shower every day. Even though my life has changed since having a kiddo, I would do it all over again if I had the chance. One thing I did notice is that after having a child I have to pee all the fetching time! I drink water at work, lots of it, and I have to get up from my desk at least every hour just to pee. I guess I should not complain as other women have needed vaginal cosmetic surgery to get their body back into shape. Right now I am still working on loosing the weight to get my body back in summer shape!

My fingers hurt. Monday I cemented the tile to the small window ledge, yesterday I grouted it, and today I am cleaning it up. It does not look as nice as I wanted it too. Of course this is my first time ever working with tile, plus, my tile was a little different; it was kinda like little pebbles. The grout looks like dirt. Admitedly, its still a little wet and I still need to work on it, but I already broke three fingure nails, the skin on my fingers is so dry and flakey now and I cant get the cement and/or grout out from under my nails! yuck. I dont think I like this manual labor much, heeheehee.

You Are 20% Extrovert, 80% Introvert

You are quite reserved
You aren’t afraid of social situations…
But you very much prefer to go it alone
And why not? You’re your own best friend!

I am one of those strange people that only have a few credit cards. When I do use one, I pay it off in full at the end of the month as I detest paying interest. However, I have been thinking…what if I have this like emergency and need to carry a balance for a while? I would want a credit card low interest type of card. There are so many to choose from its mind boggling! With CreditNet I can research and find out what is best for me. Plus, I have no idea what my credit score is either, and do I want MC, Visa, Amex, Discover….? So many questions that need answers; I better get to it just in case.

the P

Post by: Chris on March 25th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Today is my Monday as I was off work yesterday. It was SO nice to have a long weekend. I cant wait till the next one, but I have no clue as to when that will be.

The only bummer part of this weekend was when the X husband showed up. I dont mention him much as I dont want any bad vibes….But anyways-a quick comment……He did come over on Easter. For a whole whompin 15, maybe 20 minutes. In my cirlce of friends we refer to him as ‘The P’. Feel free to fill in the blank with words like Pig, Prick, Poop, etc. He brought a small Easter basket for the kiddo. Gosh the chocolate was terrible! It was labeled “chocolate flavored”. I dont think I ever seen that before! My son and I are rather chocolate experts and only eat the good stuff, Godiva, the likes and of course, Dove is good too :)

I still cannot look him in the eyes either. I am afraid that he will see the hate and loating I feel for him. He reeks like stale smoke, has a filthy beard and yucky hair. And NO, he was not like that when we were married. This happened after the divorce.

But my main concern is that he never comes over w/o an alternate plan. He is planning something and I dont know what it is. Last year we saw him at Christmas 2006 and Christmas 2007 and that was it! This Easter was a surprize, so I know he is up to something evil.

I will have to keep my eyes, ears and mind open and watching at all time. I still search the parking lot every time we go anywhere, always look in my rear vew mirror and constantly search for him spying on us (like he used to to) So its not really anything new, but it sure is a fetchin’ pain to be constantly on the look out *sigh*

rap ?

Post by: Chris on March 24th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

I have not had the radio on much this weekend. Strangely enough I don’t have a iPod, so I do listen to the radio, I guess I am still old-fashioned that way. There is a large variety of music; my son (if you can believe this) likes to listen to Classical, like Mozart, I on the other hand, like Classic Rock ! Sometimes while scanning through the channels I do come accross Hip Hop; I don’t know much about the best rapper, but I must admit, the beat is very catchy in some songs. I guess I have to opened minded since my son will be turning into a teen-ager in just a few weeks!

Granite

Post by: Chris on March 24th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

I would like to get Granite countertops in my kitchen. My Mom just got hers done and Wow her kitchen looks terrific! I cannot afford new countertops. yet. I figure….maybe, just maybe, next year. That is IF we save all our money and do not go on Vacation anywhere in the next year or two. So, more than likely I will not get granite countertops for a few years. But that is OK. I am almost done w/my window stiffication (is that a word?) and I have a few more little upgrades to do as well. So, I will wait. But here is a picture of my moms new Granite. I want Green, but her’s is really neat too !
