You Are a Skin Deep Sweetheart

You may be supermodel gorgeous or a plain Jane.
It really doesn’t matter, because you’re confident and secure.
You don’t go out looking like a slob, but you are low maintenance.
You have better things to worry about than whether your nails are the right shade!

When I went to Germany way back when, I had a friend who gave me the coolest watch ever. I still have it, but it no longer works. It was a round watch, but the clock and hands were only on the right side; kinda like a moon shape. The other side was clear and had loose gems. Everyone thought it was broken, because it was kinda half there. I really loved that watch. I am now in the market for Seiko Watches which are all the rave these days. There are so many different kinds, I am hoping to find an unusual one like I had back when. I personally don’t care for digital; what I like are the Bangle Watches. I love wearing wrist jewelry, so these watches would be perfect for a night out on the town; just like the in the movies, heeheehee.

another monday

Post by: Chris on March 31st, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Wow. Monday already. Of course, I am stuck at work. The good side is that it’s only for a half day. The bad side is that the kiddo is stuck at home with a fever. He came down with it yesterday; it was 102.4. Totally freaked me out as we have no idea where it came from! We were fine all weekend, stayed home mostly and now this. My Dad is with him now as I still dont like to leave him alone. Yeah, I know - I am way over protective. My mom made some chicken soup for him; the lucky kid. I just hope he will get over this soon. It has been a really bad year cold-wise. I have used up all my accured sick time for the year already; 5 days. We have to stay healthy and not get sick anymore ! ! !

Well we got out of the house today and looked at some flowers. Of course, I could not resist and purchased a couple. We got the Pansy’s free, but bought the Geranium. They have to stay in the house for a while till it warms up (its kinda snowing right now!)

Post by: Chris on March 30th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Sunday already. Wow. This weekend just flew by. We still have most of the day; my project for today is to clean out our spare bedroom. I can bearly get in there as there is so much junk! We are also going to look for Spring flowers, in the snow. As it is snowing right now. Yesterday we got a lot done around the house; its always nice to wake up to a clean house. Well nothing much else to blab about….better get it in gear, finish my coffee and go look for flowers :)

food & money

Post by: Chris on March 29th, 2008 | File Under Health

When we went shopping for all my yummy veggies yesterday, I noticed again that the good, healthy food is the most expensive. Which to me, makes no sense. On every item I purchase I check the ingredients and the food with most health items and the less fake stuff, is the most expensive. You’d think that with less junk in the food it would cost less!

So lately we have been cutting out grocery coupons in the Sunday paper and it has helped a lot. Free Grocery Coupons are saving me a few dollars each time we shop now. Plus, a few dollars here and there do add up. Since gas is so dang expensive, to me every dollar counts. Plus, I really hate paying full price for anything either.

Oh, I think I forgot to clean and cut up the Strawberries…better get to it. When I have all the veggies prepped, its easier for me to grab the good food and not go for the Chocolate.

XO

exhausted

Post by: Chris on March 29th, 2008 | File Under Health

I really need to figure out why in the world I am so tired all the time. I woke up this morning after a pretty good sleep, and was still tired. I did have a rather strange dream about an old boyfriend, but nothing that caused me to loose sleep over. Mostly I believe that what I eat has a lot to do w/how I feel. I am still 8 lbs overweight, so I know that I am getting pleny food ! It could be the type of food I am eating….not enough veggies is possible. Or it could be the weight. I remember when I was 40 lbs overwieght I was tired a lot too, but right now, I mean really, could 8 lbs be the prob….? Today I had a good breakfast, made my soup already, peeled the carrots, celery and washed all the apples and key limes (for my diet coke). The fridge is now stock full of healthy food. I can hear my son complaining already….but we’ll see. I am going to try very hard this week to loose this flab. *sigh*

shopping

Post by: Chris on March 28th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

I got another Spring clothing catalog in the mail today. Makes me what to shop for Spring and Summer clothes. My problem is that I don’t have time to go from store to store trying to find the best prices. Besides, I really hate doing that. I do look in the newspaper for sales, but I have decided to comparison shop on line now. Since I am still wanting to buy that Table you are forever hearing me talk about, I need to see if there is one out there similar and cheaper. I have gone on to individual stores’ website, but that is also way too time consuming. I need one place that will let me see it all; and I have found Collections Etc Review. I can compare prices, read reviews from other bloggers and purchasers, and write my reviews of the products too. Very Nice. Time to shop!
