Lone Black Spider

I am so very glad it is Friday today. I went to work and 30 minutes later, left. We had two people out today and I wanted to make sure the work was covered. Luckily I have the best co-workers and they were able to cover for me too. I went back home sick. This is my 2nd sick day, no, make that the 3rd, sick day this year already ! and I am never sick ! This cold really hit me hard. I was out all day yesterday and most of today. I am not doing one thing this weekend but sit on the couch. ugh.

Yesterday an very old friend and his daughter came into town for a visit. Most of our family got together and as usual, my mom starting talking about the old times. She is from Germany and I love hearing her stories. I was there couple years ago, and I would really like to move there. Well, for about five years is all! I don’t want to live there forever, but I would love to improve my German language, learn more about my heritage and culture. I might even look for some French property to rent and perhaps live there for a bit. I took a French class last summer, so I need to improve my French as well as German. Luckily we have a website (see the below picture!) that are in English where I could rent a home until I got the languages down.

Well I stayed home from work today. sicker than sick. It is just no fun being sick. My son was sick last week and I contribute me being sick to him being sick. The little turkey thought it was SO funny to sneeze on me, belch on me and breath on me. He got a good laugh when I go so mad. But now, its my turn to laugh, well sorta. Cuz now he has to take care of me and I warned him this would happen when he kept sneezing on me. errrrr. I think I will go back to bed now. ugh.

I love to Ski. I have Skiied in the US, in Germany and in Austria. My dream of all dreams would be to stay at some luxury chalets in Courchevel, France. I had a friend that skiied in France way back when, and he said it was the best! I dont know about that, as the snow here in Utah is pretty darn good too! And since I would be in France, I would not mind checking out Meribel, France and even travel to St Anton, Austria. Plus, the food and Wine in Europe, I must admit, is much better than the US. Yum.

Thursday Thirteen

A reminder to me; Thirteen every day things I am thankful for.

1. My Son, who is always there to cheer me up, talk to and love me.
2. My Mom, Dad, Sister and Bro-In-Law, who help me whenever and whatever I need.
3. My House, it keeps me warm in the winter and cool in the summer.
4. My Job, it allows me to keep my house!
5. My good Health, this lets me do whatever I want to!
6. My Cat, Rosey is calming and reminds me to relax every once in a while.
7. Our tent, fishing poles and sleeping bags. This allows my son and I to go Camping!
8. My friends all over the world. I love emailing and blogging w/you guys!
9. My flowers, small small veggie garden and yard. Very Relaxing.
10. Coffee every morning. I cannot wake up w/out you!
11. My friend Layne, who takes my son to Scouts every week XO
12. Only having myself, my son, our Cat and our Turtle living in our house together.
13. Being Single/Divorced. Right now in my life, I dont ever want to wash another mans underwear again ! !

I am very thankful for what I have become in life, who I am, who my friends are, where I live, and so much much more !

Wordless Wednesday

This Rose was my Valentines gift from my 12 year old son. I am not that great of a photographer, however the gift came from his heart and it was a very sweet thing he did, just for me. XO

Now that the work day is just about over (yes I had to work this Presidents Day holiday), I am slowly getting back in gear. The boss left after just a half day, and its really quiet here. I ate all my veggies and need to go shopping after work to load up on food. We have not been grocery shopping in two weeks as I have had no money. Got paid tho and now am off to the store. I am veggie deprived, as we have been eating out of our freezer; which is mosly meat and meat gets me down. I know, weird, but so true. I am planing on Asparagus for dinner. No butter of course, but I use the ‘I Cant Believe Its Not Butter’ spray cuz it has like no calories. The spread has just as many calories as real butter, so I use the Spray and its very very good!

I love to Travel, and I really did travel A Lot too! That was when I had a boyfriend that worked for a major airlines and we could travel anywhere for $25. Ah, the old days. Well, next on my travel agenda, with out the boyfriend of course, will be to see if I can make it to Spain; Barcelona to be exact. I have been to Europe but not Spain. Barcelona Hotels on the beach, or in a town, a visit the Basílica de Santa Maria del Pi, and of course I’d have to visit the Gran Teatre del Liceu (Opera House). This time I would take my son with. He loves all those old castles, ruins and of course the good food. Yum, lets go !
