getting there

Post by: Chris on February 26th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things, Health

I am starting to feel much much better. I guess it helps when I take my vitamin’s and flu medicine. However, I do have this phobia about pills. I just don’t like them. No reason, I just don’t. Nevertheless, when I am so utterly miserable, I take medicine. I only take all natural though. I don’t like to ingest ingredients I cannot pronounce. Plus, when I take my medicine I want to get a good nights sleep, have a clear head and a fit body. It is also a plus when the vitamins have anti-aging benefits too! My son says even though I am almost, almost mind you, 45 years of age, I am still pretty “hot” looking. Isn’t he just sweet!?

Tomorrow

Post by: Chris on February 26th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Tomorrow I am getting back on the wagon, sorta speak, and not eat so much all the time. Today we had Carls Jr. burger, and well, yum ! But that’s the last of the meat for me. I cannot lose weight and eat meat. I will get back to veggies. It’s not like I have a fridge full, because I do! Plus, we have fish in the freezer too. I like fish. Normally when I go out to eat at a restaurant I order fish or soup; low calories.

Waiter, I can’t seem to find any oysters in this oyster soup. Would you expect to find angels in angel cake? good joke, eh? okay, not that great I guess, ha!

I am not much of an Oyster eater but soup is good and I do like oyster soup. I hear that Gulf oysters are the best. I should probably learn more about them. However, we dont live near the ocean, but we do have very good restaurants around here that fly in fresh fish daily.

kleenex

Post by: Chris on February 26th, 2008 | File Under Health

Wow. The Admin just came ’round work w/a box and I mean a big box, full of individual Kleenex and hand sanitizers. She was passing them out. The flue is rampant in our department. Everyone I know has been out at least 2-3 days over this. I still cannot hear a dang thing; waiting for my head to clear up. Plus, I am tired of only blogging about being sick!

It’s so boring in life right now, nothing is happening. Nada. Zip. Zilch. We are all just waiting around and trying to get healthy again. No Fun :(

Cards

Post by: Chris on February 25th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

I have been wanting to get some business cards made up now for a long while. I used to have some a while back when I taught private music lessons, but now-a-days, the cards are much cooler! All I needed to do was go online, find a neat logo design and add some personal touches. It was a free service for me (and you) to find the right match, get colors, designs, fonts and and tons of other stuff. It’s a very easy step by step process to create a card, the only hard part for me was downloading the image onto my blog cuz I wanted to share my creation!

quarters

Post by: Chris on February 22nd, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

My son is collecting the State Quarters. He only needs 5 more and they are to going to be distributed throughout the year. Every time we get a quarter we see what State it is from. Today we got one from South Carolina. The quarter has a picture of a Bird, a Tree and an outline of the State itself. It got me thinking about new homes of Spartanburg SC. So I went on the the Internet and did a little searching and it seems the homes there are about the same prices as they are here these days. Thats one reason my son in collecting quarters is to save money so one day he can get his very own home too!
