Cold

Post by: Chris on January 30th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

Gee, have I mentioned how fetchin’ cold it is out here ?! Well, it’s cold. Yesterday was a blizzard, tomorrow another blizzard is on the way; right now it’s in northern California, Oregon and Washington. Even though I sometimes complain, I do love Winter! Winter was, thats right, was, my favorite season. I kinda got old and the cold is seeping into my bones, so now my Fav is Summer, heeheehe. But anyways ! In the winter, we have small gas propane heaters. Really. We do. We keep one in the downstairs bathroom, as I dont heat the extra bedroom or bathroom. When my son uses the bathroom for his shower each night, we use the little space heater to get the room toasty. Sometimes he gets it a little TOO toasty! Those heaters really work well. I hate heating an entire room we never use so we use these, way nice!

Wednesday Ramlings…

Post by: Chris on January 30th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

I seem to be in a rather talkative mood today. It’s strange, some days I just blab away and others I am quiet. It was my short day at work, so I got off early and got a lot of stuff accomplished at home. Mostly cleaning, but having a clean house always makes me feel better. I know, very strange.

I do need to get my Taxes done soon too. Still waiting for the W2’s. They should come any day now. I like to get this over and done with; out of my hair and my head. I can then move on to bigger and better things, like futures broker. wee hee. uh…not.

the Bath Room

Post by: Chris on January 30th, 2008 | File Under Every Day Things

We have this new Code of Conduct at work being implimented in the next few days. It’s just the basic - don’t be late, a new dress code (cuz people are wearing too many cut offs, piercings everywhere and mohawks!) and we can now only use our Cell Phone in the Hallway and Break room. The bathrooms are off limits for Cell Phones. (Heavy Sarcasim here….) I am sooooo very bummed; now I cannot sit on the toilet and listen to the other women (sitting on thier toilets) gabbing away on the phone. My Gosh ! ! Can you believe people do that ! Totally cracks me up… I personaly could never do that one! I wonder tho, when they impliment this, if we are going to get new bathroom vanities too. Now THAT would be nice. ha !

Tagged !

Post by: Chris on January 29th, 2008 | File Under Fun Jokes & Misc

I was just tagged today by my friend Leigh, she is a great blogger friend of mine and tagged me to list Five things about myself, so here I go:

1. I feel and act much younger than my 44 years!
2. I am very very very blunt and speak my mind.
3. I was a profession classical musican (oboe) back in my youth.
4. I am very happily single/divorced.
5. I am only comfortably warm when it is 90 degrees or more.

I am supposed to tag Five people as well, so I pick……Linda, Red, Karen, and Kelly and Karen.

Ice

Post by: Chris on January 29th, 2008 | File Under Family

It is once again, freezing in here ! We have a nice toasty fire, however my son is hogging it all. He fell pretty hard during gym class yesterday, they Ice Skate. So now he is the one with the bad back. I really feel for him, I mean he’s only 12 and his back is achy. I guess they gave him hockey skates instead of figure skates and he has Never been on hockey skates before. I could not figure how he fell so hard, but now I understand. I wrote him a note to excuse him today, but tomorrow he will be back on the ice; with figure skates that have the teeth on them so he can stop and not biff it! I hope he will be okay. He has had weeks of skating lessons when he was like 6 or 7, so I figured he’d remember how to skate, uh, I was wrong, he is starting from scratch. At least it’s only his butt and back that hurt and he doesn’t need any Washington DC plastic surgery.
