It is going to be a tad on the cold side this week. They say down to 9 degrees at night and only about 25 during the day. We keep our heat at home very low when no one is here; 52 degrees. I often worry about our Turtle and Cat. The Turtle, not so much as she had a heat lamp, but our Cat, I worry a little more. When we got home today the temp was 52 in the house so I know it was cold as the heat did kick on a bit. I might be a little too worried about the care for pets. I know our kitty is happy, but we do have a few cats in the neighborhood that are outside every day. They are very fluffy in winter, so I should not worry, but I still do.

Anyways, our cat Rosey, is fine. She sleeps in my sons bedroom, which is the warmest room in the house, and she sleeps either on his feather bed, under the feather bed or on his Love Sack. And she always greets us at the door when we come home. We are a lucky family.

I wouldn’t worry about 52 degrees. I can’t believe how my cat wants to go outside when it is so cold. But he does. Yesterday he about tripped me in his dash for the door when I left for work at 5:30 AM. I remember one time I was taking care of my neighbors fish while they were away. They had set the thermostat very low and we had an unseasonable cold snap. This was California and we even had frozen pipes. I went over to feed the fish one morning and they were all floating upside down and sideways. :(

52 is a fine temperature for cats. Mine sleep in the basement at night (part because we get mice down there and part because they like to play and keep us awake) and it gets chilly down there. I’m sure she’s fine.

Heya KC/DC, heeheehee. Sorry ’bout the fishes. That is very strange for California. and yes, your cat is strange too; he’s the one that acts like a doggie tho, so I guess he needs to go out! :)

Hi Leigh, our cat likes mice too; she likes to play with them and when they stop moving she gets bored and leaves the poor mice flat out dead :) Or course, I have to then collect them. ugh. Have a great day !
