Gosh. I so dont want to do anything today. This weather is very nice, but makes me lazy. I think I’ll just stare out the window and veg in front of the fire. *sigh*

These cool gizmo’s have to be the neatest re-invention ever!

It’s the old fashioned Water Bottle. We now have 2! My Mom brought them back from German a few weeks ago. One is just a bottle w/a flannel covering (the yellow one) and the other one is a bottle inside the red pillow! and they work soooo good. My son had one last night and when I dumped the water out this morning it was still almost on the hot side!

The picture of the white kettle is what we call in German a “Wasser-Kocher”. It will boil the water in under 4 minutes. It’s good for tea and what-not, but right now we are using it to fill the water bottles. So Fun!

Since I seem to be on the topic of men these days, I think I should get down on paper, sorta speak, how our Christmas Day went when the X came over.

Last we heard from him (this is my X husband and the father of my son) was Januay 2007. Not a peep all year. He calls Chrismas Eve and says he is coming over at 11AM Christmas Day. Notice how he doesnt ask, he just informs me of this. Of course I do not resist, cuz if I do just one itty bitty thing to piss him off, he turns into this nutcase.

Anyways, he was only about 7 minutes late this time. Last Christmas he made us wait for about 2 hours. Needless to say, we were shocked when he was ‘on time’. He only stayed about one hour. He reeked of smoke! stunk like high h*ll! I could not look him in the eyes either, he totally creeps me out; hair is a mess, unshaven, and under the smoke smell, it seemed like he had not bathed in days. He didnt say much this year. It was really wierd. Last year he was blabbin’ constantly non stop about his new ‘kids’ and when we could all get together. He, last year, had a 19 year old, 12 year old and 7 year old (step kids I assume)and a new women. I never found out if he got remarried, but this year, not a peep! I can assume he’s not with them anymore as he always has to brag to me about how Great his life is and how mine sucks. har har har. He has no idea what my life is and that the way it is going to stay!

He gave my son some chocolates, some home made cookies that smelled like smoke (which we threw away) and $100 bill. I must say tho, the cash was nice. Cash is a great gift.

After that he left. So I stressed out for no apparent reason. So I hope.
He did not mention coming back, getting together in the near future, nothing! This is so wierd. Makes me wonder what he has brewing in his messed up brainthis time…..in the past he tried to burn down my best friends house and was the only suspect for attempted homicide in that fire.

Since its beginning to look a lot like 2008, I was, and still am, debating if I want to go through the hassle and headaches of obtaining a boyfriend. I do realize it should not be a hassle per say, but with my time constraints it really is hard !

Anyways, I have some criteria that must be met. The main one being the guy must like Art. Art of all kinds; Music, Theater, Art Galleries, Opera and Symphony’s. I know, a big request. I guess I kinda just grew up with that all around me too. I do love art Galleries. They are even better On Line now, since I don’t like crowds I can just surf klimt reproduction on line! They also have Claude Monet, who I must say is my all time Favorite! So dreamy and romantic. I am into the Impressionism period, can you tell!? But I do appreciate all good oil paintings. In fact, my parents have a few in their house as well. Way Cool.

Here it is, finially Friday. I am in a rather mellow mood today and am glad to have this week over, even tho it was a good week and the week of Christmas. We will be taking down the tree tomorrow. I would like my house to get back to normal.

Plus, today it is freezing out here! It was 15 degrees this morning driving into work. I need to get one of those Weather Widgets. That way we-all will know the temp. Hmm, that will be my at work project today, try and find it on the net. somewhere.

It has been a very long day and it’s only 13:00! We have half our team gone today, okay this week, which means that I am doing the work of three people. I am so tired. We really need to cross train some more people who can help me out. My stack of what I call ‘dead people claims’ is piling up. Good thing I have a good Search Engine to help me. I swear I don’t know what we did without the internet. I am constantly using the internet to search, confirm, to do research and okay, even blog a little! Can I go home now, please….

Thursday Thirteen

Remembering the little things that my son did, on purpose! to drive me nutso during the holiday season this year.

1. Constantly shooting me in the butt w/his new Nerf Dart gun.
2. Saying “I didn’t do it” afterwards when there was only the two of us at home!
3. Telling me, once again, (this after I confiscated the gun) “I’m Bored”
4. Farting
5. Burping
6. Swearing
7. Eating all MY chocolate
8. Playing his DS with the volume Full Blast!
9. His friend calling every 5 minutes asking for help with His DS.
10.Complaining he has no money, but he wont do any chores to make money.
11.Complaining there is no food to eat in the house (hey we have tons of veggies!)
12.Complaining its too hot, its too cold, its too sunny, its too cloudy!
13.Complaining! !

Wow, I am very thankfull to be at work today

Well if you don’t know me very well (which you probably dont, heeheehe), I have a degree in Music Performance. I don’t work in my field anymore, but I still love music. My son and I went to the Nutcracker Ballet a couple weeks ago and it was nice. I love the dancing, music and atmosphere. However, the audience in Utah is real stupid. There was this old lady behind us eating peanuts from a plastic, very noisey, bag. All I heard was crinkle crinkle crinkle. I fininally turned around and said SHHHHHHHHH! She stopped eating. but I mean really! eating peanuts at a Ballet!

Anyways, I also love musicals; Ginger Rogers Musical. The dancing, the music and the grace. I think they had more grace then we do now-a-days. Today people are very uncultured. The musical comes out first quarter of next year. I hope it makes it to Utah!
