Good God It’s Friday !
Saturday 6th of October 2007 12:52:05 AMMy Quote of the day :
If you have a lot of tension and you get a headache, do what it says on the aspirin bottle: “Take two Aspirin” and “Keep away from children.”
and
CHILDREN: You spend the first 2 years of their life teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next 16 telling them to sit down and shut-up.
The reason for my choice of topic is that my 12.5 year old and I have been butting heads all week long ! and its getting old fast. I am so darn tired of arguing about every fetchin’ thing ! We went out for Fast Food last night and we got into an argument about why he could not decide where to go ! I told him just to pick a place, anyplace, and he went off on me saying it was a hard choice, he was under pressure (cuz we must have passed like 8 places by then) and I was rushing him and forcing him to make a decision and that he needed more time. O.M.G. It was quite funny looking back, but really, its just fast food people
and…… can he just not pick up his dirty socks from the floor either ? ! ! ! Obviously not
They are still there. Even our Cat is avoiding them. And I flat our refuse this time. Wonder how long I will last on that on tho, sheesh.
Oh, and get this. We went to Parent/Teacher conference last night and all I got was how wonderful he was, a great student, volunteers to answer questions, helps other class mates, does all the required work on time, the list goes on. He must be a Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde. (Okay so I cant spell, I guess I should ask my son ! ! ! )
So, I am glad it is Friday. I am planing on sleeping in till at Least 730am. That will be 2.5 hours past normal wake-up week-day time of 5AM. Its going to be wonderful *sigh*

Yes, I have found that the odd years are the worst. 13,15, 17. He is approaching 13. As far as socks go the approach in our house was, if they want a mess in their own room let them live in it. Until it go to the point you couldn’t walk.
Just close the door. Unless the socks are in your space. That’s different. Ahh life with children.

Hey there Kim, Great, just Great, the best years are yet to come I guess, ha ! The funny part is that his room is immaculate; he loves his room clean, doesnt care about the rest of our house

It will probably get worse before better–usually just about the time you’re ready to kill them they start the upswing. Il adore my three girls now that they are in their thirties, but they could be so mean and so aggravating as teens!
